From Milestone Media's groundbreaking 1993 lineup comes Icon #3, subtitled "Payback!" — and the cover by M. D. Bright and Mike Gustovich makes the title feel entirely earned. Icon is shown in a brutal, close-quarters struggle with a massive, fang-filled green creature, its enormous jaws stretched wide and claws gripping the hero as a cloaked figure watches ominously from above. Dwayne McDuffie and M. D. Bright were building something special with this series, and this visceral, in-your-face image makes a strong case for picking up every issue.
