Part of Marvel's 1987 25th Anniversary reprint line, this issue of Marvel Tales spotlights a clash that's hard to look away from — Iron Fist locked in a fierce close-quarters struggle with Steel Serpent in a shadowy outdoor setting, while Spider-Man swings in from above, ready to tip the scales. The cover by M. D. Bright and Mike DeCarlo captures real tension in every clenched fist and gritted expression, with the cover copy making clear that Steel Serpent is after Iron Fist's very life force. Rounding things out is a bonus five-page Hercules future tale, making this a satisfying package built around Chris Claremont and John Byrne's "Night of the Dragon.
