“Double Danger at the Daily Bugle!”

Marvel Tales #199 pairs Spider-Man with Daredevil for what the title promises is "Double Danger at the Daily Bugle!" — and the cover by M. D. Bright and Mark McKenna delivers on that tension immediately. Spider-Man swoops in from above while Daredevil is sent reeling by a crackling energy blast from Electro, whose green-and-yellow costume crackles with lightning as he stands his ground amid what appears to be an office setting. With Bill Mantlo writing and Sal Buscema on interior art, this 1987 reprint package brings together two of Marvel's street-level heroes against one of Spider-Man's most electrifying foes.
