Lee Garbett
1950–
Lee Garbett is a British comic book artist born in 1950 in the West Midlands, England. He came up working in British comics before making his way into the American mainstream market, where he built a substantial career spanning both of the major publishers.
His professional footprint is considerable — credited as artist, colorist, and inker across more than 150 issues between 2007 and 2026. Early in his American career he worked under an exclusive arrangement with DC Comics, contributing to titles such as Batgirl and the crossover event DC/WS DreamWar, before transitioning to freelance work around 2011. That independence allowed him to range widely, and his output with Marvel included a celebrated run on Loki: Agent of Asgard and work on Captain Marvel. He also brought his clean, expressive linework to Valiant Entertainment's X-O Manowar.
Among his most prominent long-term associations is the Vertigo/DC series Lucifer, which stands as one of the titles most closely identified with his name in the catalog. Garbett's willingness to move fluidly between superhero action and more atmospheric, character-driven material has made him a versatile presence across publishers. No major awards or specific collaborator credits are documented in the available sources.
