Batgirl #14
What a delightfully offbeat team-up: Batgirl and Supergirl stand back-to-back in the foreground, cool and composed, while a looming array of Dracula figures — billed on the cover as both "King of the Vampires" and "Prince of Darkness" — leer menacingly behind them in classic horror-movie fashion. The whole composition is framed like a vintage 3-D movie poster, complete with a pair of red-and-blue anaglyph glasses perched at the top, giving Bryan Q. Miller's "Terror in the 3rd Dimension" a wonderfully campy, cinematic energy. Artgerm's cover art captures both heroines with sharp detail and real presence, making this 2010 issue a genuinely fun collision of superhero action and old-school monster-movie atmosphere.
