This fourth issue of Image's Shadecraft carries one of 2021's most quietly unsettling cover images: a young woman in an orange jacket walks alone past a row of bright yellow school lockers, head down, while the looming shadow of an unseen figure stretches across the lockers beside her — a shadow that belongs to no one visible on the cover. The contrast between her ordinary high-school setting and that ominous, sourceless silhouette perfectly captures the series' tension between the mundane and the supernatural. Cover by Jamie McKelvie, with interior work from the team of Henderson, Garbett, Fabela, and Bowland continuing to make Shadecraft one of the year's most atmospheric reads.
