Greg Pak and Dan McDaid's Firefly series from BOOM! Studios continues with this third issue, featuring a tense cover by Lee Garbett where Mal Reynolds levels a revolver with cool determination while a young woman in the foreground braces herself, armed and ready — two people who look like they're either fighting side by side or about to have a very complicated conversation. Marcelo Costa's colors keep things grounded in the 'verse's signature dusty, lived-in palette, making the whole image feel like a still from a scene you desperately want to see play out.
