The Outsiders #15
Part of DC's 2009 "Origins & Omens" banner, The Outsiders #15 kicks off "The Deep, Part One" with a striking cover by Lee Garbett and Trevor Scott that assembles the full team in a tense, charged tableau. A dark-clad figure crackling with blue lightning anchors the left, while a masked woman raises a glowing weapon overhead, a red-suited hero stands resolute beside her, a grinning green-haired wild card lurks at center, and a pale, tattooed bruiser looms on the right — a lineup that radiates barely contained energy. Peter J. Tomasi's run on this series has given the Outsiders a grittier edge, and this issue looks set to push every one of them to their limits.
