Kyle Higgins

Born on June 12, 1985, Kyle Higgins is an American comic book writer and film director who has built a substantial career across several publishers and franchises. He first made a mark at DC Comics with the miniseries Batman: Gates of Gotham, which demonstrated an early aptitude for exploring the darker corners of Gotham's mythology. That work opened the door to extended runs on Nightwing and Batman Beyond, where he developed a particular fluency with characters operating in Batman's long shadow. His catalog at DC also includes stints on Deathstroke and the sprawling ensemble series Batman Eternal.

Higgins later brought that same world-building sensibility to Boom! Studios, where his contributions to the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers line earned him a devoted readership well outside traditional superhero circles. Perhaps his most ambitious project, however, is Radiant Black at Image Comics, which serves as the cornerstone of the Massive-Verse — an interconnected shared universe of titles he created and continues to shepherd. The Massive-Verse reflects a clear creative ambition to construct something expansive from the ground up rather than simply stewarding inherited characters. Active in comics since 2011, with credits across more than 180 issues, Higgins remains a productive and consistently versatile voice in mainstream superhero storytelling.
