Batman Eternal #29

Part of DC's ambitious weekly New 52 series celebrating 75 years of Batman, Batman Eternal #29 arrives in December 2014 with a cover by Clay Mann that plunges a lone armored figure into desperate, churning water. Surrounded on all sides by massive, rotting zombie-like creatures crackling with sickly green energy, the dark-suited hero at the center of the image looks very much outnumbered. With a sprawling creative team — Snyder, Tynion IV, Fawkes, Higgins, and Seeley writing alongside artist Simon Coleby — "The City of Shadow and Doubt" promises the kind of grim, relentless pressure that has defined this weekly saga.
