May 2014 · DC · 14.99 USD; 17.99 CAD
“Man-At-Arms”

In "Man-At-Arms," Kyle Higgins and Mike S. Miller kick off a high-stakes Eternian thriller as Kronis orchestrates a daring gold heist with three Eternian Guardsmen—only one of whom, Nolar Blak, chooses to betray the plan. When He-Man intervenes during the robbery, a stray rifle strike leaves Kronis wounded, and a chance spill of mysterious nanites transforms him into the new threat, Trap Jaw, who enlists Skeletor and Evil-Lyn to target Blak. Ben Oliver’s striking cover captures the moment of transformation, while the interior art by Miller and colorwork by Aviña bring the clash of loyalty and vengeance to vivid life.

Kronis recruits three Eternian Guardsmen to rob a gold shipment. One of the guards, Nolar Blak, turns in the would be thieves, leading He-Man to be present during their robbery. He-Man throws a crushed rifle at a fleeing Kronis, knocking his jaw off. Kronis barely makes it back to his camp, only to accidentally spill a jar of nanites. The nanites fuse with him, transforming him into Trap Jaw. Trap Jaw uses Skeletor and Evil-Lyn to get his revenge on Nolar Blak.
