Radiant Black reaches its twentieth issue with a cover — by Marcelo Costa — that puts two young men in the center of a crumbling, fire-lit street, cars and chaos scattered behind them as the city seems to be falling apart around them. The low-angle perspective and cracked pavement give the scene a real sense of urgency, with the flames licking at the edges of the urban backdrop making it clear these two aren't out for a casual stroll. Higgins, Costa, and Carey's series continues to deliver that grounded superhero energy that's made it one of Image's more compelling ongoing books of 2022.
