Radiant Black #8

Kyle Higgins and Marcelo Costa's Radiant Black continues to build one of Image Comics' most energetic superhero universes, and issue #8 puts that ambition front and center. Felipe Watanabe's cover is a full-throttle collision of powered figures — a large armored opponent dominates the foreground wielding a glowing energy blade, while Radiant Black charges in fists blazing, a purple-costumed flyer swoops in from the left, and at least two more Radiant-suited heroes join the fray against a dramatic sky backdrop. With Natália Marques lending her vibrant colors to the interior and Becca Carey on letters, this September 2021 issue makes a compelling case that the Radiant universe is only getting bigger.
