Chris Yost
Chris Yost was born Christopher Lee Yost on February 21, 1973, in the United States. He is best known for his work as a writer across film, television, animation, and comic books, particularly for Marvel Studios' *Thor: The Dark World* (2013) and *Thor: Ragnarok* (2017), as well as episodes of Lucasfilm's *The Mandalorian*.
Yost entered comics in the mid-2000s, quickly establishing himself as a key voice in the X-Men corner of the Marvel Universe. His most recognized work includes lengthy runs on *New X-Men* and the miniseries *X-23: Target X*, where he helped define the character of Laura Kinney. He also wrote the event series *X-Men: Emperor Vulcan*, the limited series *X-Men: Worlds Apart*, and a solo *Psylocke* series. During the 2008 "Secret Invasion" crossover, he penned the tie-in *Secret Invasion: Runaways / Young Avengers*.
Yost frequently collaborated with writer Craig Kyle, and together they shaped the modern X-23 mythos. His style balances superhero action with character-driven drama, often focusing on young mutants and their struggles. Later in his career, Yost moved into screenwriting for major franchises, though his comic work remains a defining part of his legacy. He was active in comics from 2005 to 2020, with 96 credited issues in our catalog.
