“Nimrod Part 3 of 4”

In "Nimrod Part 3 of 4," Forge’s dangerous gambit unfolds as he lures the deadly Nimrod into an anti-Sentinel robot of his own making—though the New X-Men remain unaware of the ruse. As the team charges in to help, they’re met with a brutal fight against the reprogrammed machine, whose fractured programming begins to crack under the strain. With the stakes rising, the robot’s old mutant-hunting instincts resurface, culminating in a devastating explosion meant to wipe out the entire team. Forge has tricked Nimrod into transferring its consciousness into an anti-Sentinel robot of his own design. Unfortunately, the New X-Men don't know this and are on their way to help Forge battle the deadly robot. The kids throw down with the new Nimrod and damage it enough that its old mutant hunting program is able to reassert control. Nimrod causes a massive explosion, trying to kill all of the New X-Men in one fell swoop.
