“Nimrod Part 2 of 4”

In "Nimrod Part 2 of 4," Forge uncovers a shocking truth: the deadly robot Nimrod is a refugee from an alternate reality, sent by his counterpart to protect his family from the very machine he’s become. With the X-Men absent—away at Storm’s wedding in Wakanda—the New X-Men must take matters into their own hands, stealing the Blackbird to race against time and stop Nimrod’s rampage. Written by Craig Kyle and Chris Yost, with dynamic art by Duncan Rouleau and colors by Brian Reber, this pivotal issue builds tension with a desperate race to save a life, not just a city. Cover by Paco Medina and Juan Vlasco captures the stakes in sharp, haunting detail.

Forge realizes that Nimrod is from an alternate reality, sent by his counterpart in that universe to save his family from the killer robot. Forge tries to delay his repairs on Nimrod and sends a covert distress signal to the X-Men. Unfortunately, the X-Men are away at Storm's wedding in Wakanda and the only mutants left at the mansion are the New X-Men. They steal the Blackbird and sneak away from Sentinel Squad ONE to try and help. When Forge runs out of time, he invites Nimrod to transfer his consciousness into a robot of his own design that should fix all of Nimrod's current issues.
