Storm is with Cyclops in the Morlock tunnels discussing her role in the X-Men when Ororo is called back to Wakanda due to a brutal murder. The murderer turns out to be the young mutant, Nezhno, and Storm does not want to believe in his guilt but is shown video surveillance as evidence. Storm removes Nezhno from his cell but is confronted by an angry Wakandan populace and her even angrier husband who denounces her as his queen. Storm discovers that the Black Panther has been possessed by the Shadow King.
