New X-Men: Childhood's End #1
"Childhood's End Part 1 of 4" kicks off a pivotal arc in New X-Men: Childhood's End, bringing the team back to the mansion as Reverend Stryker resurfaces with a renewed anti-mutant crusade. With powers lost on M-Day and tensions rising among the students, Wolverine introduces X-23 as his cloned "sister," sparking immediate friction—especially from Emma—but Cyclops grants her a place among them. Under David’s guidance, the team ventures into the Morlock tunnels to train in a newly built Danger Cave, reliving past missions to rebuild their strength. Mark Brooks’ dynamic art, both in the story and on the cover, captures the intensity of this uneasy new chapter, with Craig Kyle and Chris Yost steering the narrative with sharp, character-driven momentum.

The X-Men and New X-Men learn that Reverend Stryker is back and spreading his anti-mutant message to the world. The kids at Xavier's squabble and try to figure things out as some of their closest friends and allies lost their powers on M-Day. Wolverine brings X-23 to the mansion and introduces her to the others as his cloned "sister." Emma violently objects to her presence but Cyclops lets her stay. David takes the kids to the Morlock tunnels where he has constructed a Danger Cave and the students, both those with powers and those without, begin to train by running through old X-Men missions.
