The Scy'ar find themselves in a state of confusion. Although Rachel tries to stop it, Vulcan uses a star to destroy the remaining Scy'ar Tal fleet. The Imperial Guard capture the Starjammers. Havok has it out with Vulcan and gains the upper hand but finds himself forced to choose between taking his brother's life or saving the Starjammers from Deathbird. The Shi'ar desert Lilandra and flock to Emperor Vulcan as being a leader who will do anything it takes to get the job done. With Vulcan in power and the Starjammers captured, the future for Havok and his friends looks very bleak indeed.
