The New X-Men train with Colossus in the Danger Room and don't perform particularly well. Emma becomes furious with Josh when he cold-cocks Colossus with a metal bar after the training is over. Josh and Laurie are arguing on school grounds about the incident when Laurie is shot in the head by a sniper and killed. Jay decides to confront Reverend Stryker for betraying him and cutting off his wings. Stryker shows him an integral part of the Lord's current plan for homo-superior: the mutant hunting Sentinel, Nimrod.
