Jenny Frison
Jenny Frison is an American comic book cover artist best known for her elegant, painterly covers for *Wonder Woman* and *Clean Room*. Born in the United States, she developed an early love for comics through a *Wonder Woman* storybook. She studied illustration at Northern Illinois University and later attended The Kubert School of Art, leaving before her third year to teach herself the craft of cover art. After sharing her work online, writer Tim Seeley commissioned a cover for *Hack/Slash*, leading to a lasting friendship and shared studio space at Four Star Studios in Chicago.
Frison’s process begins with a pencil sketch and tonal drawing on gray paper, finished in Photoshop. She earned Harvey Award nominations for Best Cover Artist in 2013 and 2015. From 2015 to 2017, she drew the main covers for Gail Simone’s Vertigo series *Clean Room*. During DC’s Rebirth era, she produced variant covers for nearly every issue of *Wonder Woman* from #9 (October 2016) through #61 (January 2019). In March 2023, Burbank, California unveiled a statue of Wonder Woman based on her design. She also created the poster for the *Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.* episode "Melinda." Active from 2009 to 2025, Frison has contributed to titles including *Angel*, *Spike*, *Battlestar Galactica: Six*, and *Devi: Rebirth*.
