Revival #18

Revival's rural noir atmosphere reaches an unsettling peak with this cover by Jenny Frison — a black balaclava stretched over a face whose eyes and mouth have been replaced by grotesquely fleshy, swirling masses of distorted tissue. It's quietly horrifying in the best possible way, capturing the series' signature blend of small-town dread and body-horror unease. Tim Seeley and Mike Norton's acclaimed ongoing continues with issue #18, and if this image is any indication, the strangeness gripping their fictional Wisconsin community shows no sign of letting up.
