Revival #17

Tim Seeley and Mike Norton's "rural noir" continues with this quietly unsettling cover by Jenny Frison: a young woman in glasses and a red scarf stands resolute, gripping what appears to be a hatchet, while an enormous winged, skeletal figure looms behind her like a dark angel of death. The contrast between her composed, everyday appearance and the spectral horror at her back perfectly captures the eerie small-town dread that defines Revival. If you've been following this Image series, issue #17 makes a striking addition to the shelf.
