The third chapter of Dark Horse's adaptation of P. C. Cast and Kristin Cast's beloved series arrives with a genuinely gorgeous cover by Jenny Frison — two young women drift against a deep teal background, swirling luminous energy curling around them like living water. One bears dramatic, pale facial markings while the other wears intricate tattoo-like designs around her eyes, and ghostly winged shapes ripple through the composition above them, lending the whole image an otherworldly, almost hypnotic grace. With interior art from Joëlle Jones and Daniel Krall, this 2012 series continues to bring the world of fledgling vampyres to vivid comic-book life.
