Revival #47

Revival has always excelled at finding the human within the horrifying, and this 47th issue wears that tension right on its cover. Jenny Frison's art bathes the scene in a deep, unsettling crimson — a gaunt figure reaches down from a rocky ledge toward a woman whose arms are startlingly skeletal, the two hands nearly touching across a shallow, blood-red pool where a skull rests half-submerged. It's a striking image of connection and dread that captures everything Tim Seeley and Mike Norton's rural noir does best.
