Tim Seeley and Mike Norton's rural noir takes an unsettling turn with this August 2014 issue, whose Jenny Frison cover drops us somewhere unexpected — a grotesque, pale skeletal creature clings to a glowing neon "New York Po[lice]" sign, its hollow skull thrown open in a silent shriek. The juxtaposition of urban neon and something deeply wrong crawling through the city carries exactly the eerie dread that makes Revival such a compelling read.
