Dark Horse brings P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast's beloved vampire world to comics in this opening issue, written alongside Kent Dalian with interior art by Joëlle Jones and Karl Kerschl. Jenny Frison's cover sets a genuinely atmospheric tone: a dark-haired young woman bearing intricate blue facial markings sits serenely beneath a full moon, her hands hovering over a glowing pentagram, flanked on either side by two large, amber-eyed wild cats with gnarled, vine-wrapped trees curling around them all.
