Marcelo Frusin
1967–
Marcelo Frusin was born on 27 December 1967 in Rosario, Argentina, and has built a steady career as a comic book artist, inker, and colorist. He is best known for his long run on *Hellblazer*, where his moody, expressive linework perfectly captured the gritty, supernatural world of John Constantine. Frusin entered the industry in the late 1990s, and his first major English-language work came with DC Comics, collaborating closely with writer Brian Azzarello on *Hellblazer* and later on the Western series *Loveless*. His style—detailed, shadowy, and grounded—made him a natural fit for Vertigo's darker titles. Beyond *Hellblazer*, he contributed art to *Kick-Ass* and the miniseries *Sacrament*, often working with Azzarello. Frusin’s art is marked by a strong sense of atmosphere and character, and he remains active in the industry as of 2025, with over 80 credited issues to his name. While he has not received major mainstream awards, his work on *Hellblazer* is regarded as a definitive visual interpretation of the character, and he continues to be a respected figure in Argentine and international comics.
