“...Freezes Over, Part Three of Four”

Azzarello and Frusin's "…Freezes Over" arc hits its penultimate chapter with issue #160, and Tim Bradstreet's cover captures the tension beautifully. The design splits across panel-strip vignettes — a bruised eye, a man covering his face, an older figure peering through glasses — while a larger scene shows a figure in a dark coat standing over someone sprawled across a frozen, icy ground. John Constantine looms at the top, cigarette in hand, expression cool and unreadable against a crumbling brick backdrop — the very image of a man who's seen too much and regrets very little of it.
