Kick-Ass #18

Marcelo Frusin's cover for this 2019 Image series puts the tension front and center: the blue-suited Kick-Ass looms over a dark-haired woman who appears bloodied and reeling, a slashed sword arcing through the frame with red spattering the stark white background. It's a visceral, tightly composed image that captures the series' uncompromising street-level brutality perfectly. Steve Niles and Frusin have been delivering gritty, hard-edged storytelling throughout this run, and issue #18 looks to keep that momentum going strong.
