“...Freezes Over, Part Two of Four”

Part two of Brian Azzarello's "...Freezes Over" arc arrives with a Tim Bradstreet cover that feels like a slow, cold dread settling in. The composition layers two figures in a dimly lit bar against a fractured collage of close-cropped faces and a looming, decay-textured skull, blood-red spatters pulling it all together with unsettling intent. Azzarello's writing and Marcelo Frusin's interior art make this Vertigo series one of 2001's most atmospheric reads, and this cover sets that mood perfectly.
