Kick-Ass #10

Marcelo Frusin's cover for this 2018 Image series places the masked, suited Kick-Ass in a tense, wide-footed stance against a pitch-black void — dwarfed by a massive, monstrous figure looming overhead with enormous reaching hands and glowing red eyes. The scale and shadow work make the threat feel genuinely suffocating, with warm pink and cool blue tones carving out every tense muscle and menacing contour. Steve Niles and Frusin are clearly not letting up on the pressure this series brings issue after issue.
