Vertigo's Loveless arrives in 2005 with a cover that sets a stark, Southern Gothic tone: a shadowy gunman levels a shotgun directly at the viewer, while the bold red silhouette of a woman's profile frames a violent struggle among figures in a cemetery behind him.
