Ernie Hart

Ernest Huntley Hart (October 2, 1910 – May 2, 1985 or July 1985; sources differ), also known by the pen name H. E. Huntley, was an American comic-book writer and artist. He is best known for creating Marvel Comics' Super Rabbit and for co-creating the superhero the Wasp. Hart's career in comics spanned from the 1940s through the 2000s, with his most credited work appearing on titles such as *Kid Colt Outlaw*, *Egbert*, *Black Fury*, *Marmaduke Mouse*, and *Hulk Comic*. His style was versatile, handling both humorous animal characters and Western adventure stories. Beyond comics, Hart wrote, edited, and illustrated numerous books on dog breeding and ownership, reflecting a lifelong interest in animals. He passed away in 1985 at age 74, leaving behind a legacy as a prolific contributor to both the comic-book industry and canine literature.
