The issue contains two stories. "Texas Guns" follows the Sheriff of Tombstone as he confronts armed outlaws who have robbed the bank and taken new bills from Boswell's deposit, with the Sheriff managing to lock up the prisoners and patrol the streets. "Ticket to Boot Hill" depicts a cavalry officer who discovers that Indians have stolen horses in a carefully planned trap near Fort Pearson; after interviewing Chief Geronigo and learning the horses were taken along a stream to leave false tracks, the officer pursues the thieves with his men. "Whose Trap?" concludes with a military expedition being ambushed as they attempt to recover stolen cavalry horses, resulting in gunfire and close combat between soldiers and the opposing force.
