Marmaduke Mouse #10

The cover story "Joe's Eat Shoppe" features Marmaduke Mouse discovering that the restaurant's chef is sick and closed for the day. Marmaduke and his friend Louie find a crate labeled "Headquarters for Fuzzy's Famous Reducerator" and decide to use the mysterious device in a comedy act, leading to chaotic consequences involving oranges and balloons. A detective character named Sam Shovel becomes involved, and Marmaduke is taken into custody while the detective works to clear his name by proving a rat was actually responsible for eating Swiss cheese during a bank robbery. The story concludes with Beatrice Bee and other characters protecting Marmaduke from an "assassin bug" threat while standing guard in shifts.
