Johnstone asks Colt to become Mojave City's marshal to clean up the organized crime but Johnstone is the actual boss behind all the criminals and wants to keep Colt under his thumb by threatening to expose him as an outlaw. Colt kills Johnstone and his ringleaders then flees the town.
