On the cover, Egbert encounters a note claiming that rubbing liniment on his head will make him smart before an exam. In subsequent pages, Egbert gets chased by a bear while on vacation with his friend Raspy, escapes to the country for relaxation, and later finds himself in a jewelry store where he causes chaos while being pursued by armed robbers. The story concludes with Egbert fighting with a character named Policy over a Chinch bug, eventually training the bug and using it to defeat enemies in the Bugville Battler storyline.
When the Count spots a Nature Museum offering cash for rare specimens, he sees an easy mark—and convinces the down-on-his-luck Egbert that museum work is their ticket to prosperity. But the Count's scheme quickly unravels when the museum's curator decides Egbert himself would make a fine addition to the collection. With danger closing in and their plans falling apart, our two feathered friends must scramble to escape the taxidermist's clutches—though the Count's resourcefulness may cost Egbert dearly in the bargain.
When tough-guy Buggy Boo falls head over wings for the charming Lorelei Love Bug, his manager sees disaster—the local fighter's got a championship bout coming up against Charlie Chinch Bug, and nothing spells trouble like romance. Can Buggy keep his focus in the ring, or will love cost him the fight?
