This November 20, 1922 issue of Adventure features multiple action serials and novelettes. Rafael Sabatini's "The Sea-Hawk" continues in its fourth part as a multi-part serial about pirate adventures. Frank C. Robertson's "Silver Zone" follows Dallas Showalter, an Idaho homesteader fighting cattleman Bill Hasbrouck over a three-hundred-twenty-acre claim. After discovering Hasbrouck's Basque sheepherders illegally grazing his wheat field, Showalter forces them out—only to witness Hasbrouck and his foreman coldly murder the herders with .30-30 rifles, framing Showalter for the crime. Forced to flee, Showalter abandons his nearly-completed claim. Other featured authors include Edgar Young, William H. Wells, Negley Farson, Arthur M. Harris, and Nictzin Dyalhis. Regular columns cover practical services like assaying, weapons, mountaineering, and radio.
Each page has its own page — the cartoon, who’s in it, and what the satire means.
