Steve Epting

Steve Epting is an American comics artist best known for his visually grounded, cinematic work on Marvel's premier titles. Born in 1963, he entered the industry in the late 1980s, with credits stretching from 1989 through the mid-2020s — a run of sustained professional output spanning more than three decades.

Epting built his early reputation on *The Avengers*, where his detailed, realistic figure work established him as a reliable presence in Marvel's stable of artists. His most celebrated contributions, however, came on *Captain America*, where his moody, espionage-inflected draftsmanship proved an ideal match for stories that leaned into Cold War shadows and moral complexity.
