In "Bloodties Part One: Family Legacy," the Avengers are ordered to stand aside as Genosha descends into civil war between humans and mutates—until they learn that Fabian Cortez has kidnapped Crystal's daughter, Luna. With the U.N. forbidding intervention, the team chooses to act, while Professor X secretly directs the X-Men to rendezvous with the official delegation upon their arrival. Written by Bob Harras and illustrated by Steve Epting, with inks by Tom Palmer and colors by Tom Palmer, the issue sets a tense stage for a conflict where loyalty, legacy, and duty collide. Klaus Janson's cover captures the storm brewing beneath the surface.
