The grand finale of Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting's eight-part limited series arrives with a cover by Steve McNiven that assembles Marvel's earliest wartime heroes in a single striking image — Captain America shield raised and fist clenched, the Sub-Mariner soaring overhead, the original Human Torch blazing with orange flame, and a masked young hero charging forward at center. Colorist Dave Stewart's warm, sun-drenched palette gives the whole scene a sense of hard-won triumph befitting a story rooted in the birth of Marvel's heroic age. It's a fittingly ambitious close to a series that traced those origins with care and craft.
