Velvet Templeton glances back over her shoulder with cool, calculated composure, pistol raised, on Steve Epting's beautifully rendered painted-style cover for this twelfth issue of Ed Brubaker and Epting's Cold War spy series. The arc "The Man Who Stole the World" continues here, and that title paired with Velvet's guarded, watchful expression sets the tension perfectly. Elizabeth Breitweiser's warm amber and crimson tones give the whole image a moody, cinematic quality that makes this Image series one of the more visually distinctive spy books of 2015.
