Jim Calafiore is an American comic book penciller and inker whose career stretches from 1989 into the mid-2020s, encompassing more than 165 credited issues across a wide range of publishers. Born in 1900, he has worked in virtually every corner of the craft — as artist, inker, colorist, and writer.

He is perhaps best recognized for his extended contributions to Marvel's dimension-hopping team book *Exiles*, on which he also took on writing duties, and for his work on DC's *Aquaman*. His catalog is notably broad, ranging from superhero mainstays like *Black Panther* and *Defenders of the Earth* to science-fiction fare such as *Magnus Robot Fighter* and *Armorines*, as well as the offbeat *Faction Paradox*. He also contributed to the Marvel anthology *Millennium Visions*.

Among his most enduring contributions to comics continuity is the co-creation of Nocturne, an alternate-reality character who is the daughter of Nightcrawler and the Scarlet Witch — a figure who went on to become a recurring presence in Marvel's multiverse storytelling. Calafiore's willingness to move fluidly between genres and roles — pencilling, inking, writing — reflects a versatility that has kept him a working presence in the industry across four decades.
