Proteus, in Morph's body, raises Atlantis from the ocean floor, killing all of its inhabitants, as he prepares to destroy the Heroes Reborn world through nuclear fire. The Exiles and the Young Allies combat him and trick the powerful reality warper into wearing a headband that brings Morph's personality to the forefront and buries Proteus. With the Heroes Reborn world saved, the Exiles return to the crystal palace with Morph back to normal but with Proteus' consciousness buried deep in his psyche. Morph is unaware of this fact.
