“Dreamtime”

In "Dreamtime," the Force Works team travels to the remote Australian town of Kagoona, where they face psychic monsters haunting the land. With help from Dreamguard—a local Aboriginal cop by day and guardian by night—they uncover a haunting origin tied to a forbidden tribal site and a drunken man’s tragic past. As the team ventures into the sacred territory, they’re suddenly confronted by a colossal, skeletal figure. Written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, with art by J. Calafiore and Rey Garcia, and a striking cover by Jim Calafiore and Rey Garcia, this 1995 issue blends myth and mystery in a tense, atmospheric adventure.

The Force Works crew head to Australia, where they find the town of Kagoona has been beset by psychic monsters. They are helped out by Dreamguard, who in his civilian identity is a local Aboriginal cop. They find out that the monsters have been created by the mind of a dreaming drunken local villain who had wandered into a forbidden Aboriginal tribal territory with his partner, and where his partner met his death. The team, along with Dreamguard, make their way to the territory, when they are suddenly attacked by what looks like a gigantic skeleton.
