Exiles #56
Part two of "Bump in the Night" finds the Exiles assembled in what appears to be a dark, skull-adorned dungeon setting, and this cover by Jim Calafiore and Mark McKenna captures the team in striking fashion. Front and center stands a warrior in golden armor bearing a shield and spear, flanked by a red-haired mystic woman, a horned Viking-helmeted figure, a cloaked staff-wielder, a woman in pink, and a red-masked acrobatic figure crouched against a stone wall. With Tony Bedard at the helm and this visually dense, fantasy-tinged lineup on display, it's a compelling chapter in one of Marvel's more inventive team books of 2005.
