Batman and the Outsiders #11

This November 2008 issue ties Batman and the Outsiders into DC's "Batman R.I.P." event, and the cover — penciled by Jim Calafiore and inked by Jack Purcell — captures the team at a striking crossroads. Six figures stand (or stumble) across a dramatic bat-symbol shadow: a caped Batman looms at center-back alongside the red, cyclops-eyed form of Catwoman(?)/a red humanoid, while Geo-Force, a sword-wielding figure in orange and gold, a white-haired woman in pink, and a dark-clad female hero complete the ensemble — their reflections fragmenting ominously below. The bold tagline "Outsiders No More?!" sets an appropriately urgent tone for part one of this two-part story by Frank Tieri, with interior art by Ryan Benjamin and Saleem Crawford.
