Cris Peter is a Brazilian colorist best known for her vibrant, atmospheric work in the American comics market, particularly for DC and Marvel. She was born on June 15, 1983, in Brazil. Peter entered comics through her passion for color theory and visual storytelling, gaining early recognition for her colors on Matt Fraction’s *Casanova*, which earned her an Eisner Award nomination. Her signature style blends rich, expressive palettes with a keen sense of mood, often collaborating with artists like Danilo Beyruth on the Brazilian series *Astronauta – Magnetar* and Gustavo Borges on *Petals*. She also authored the theoretical book *O Uso das Cores* (The Use of Colors) in 2013. Among her notable co-creations are the color work on *Hinterkind*, *Astonishing X-Men*, *The Names*, *Collapser*, *The Pale Knight*, and *Daken: Dark Wolverine*. Peter won the Troféu HQ Mix for Best Colorist in 2016 and 2017, cementing her influence in both Brazilian and international comics. Active from 2006 to 2025, she remains a respected figure for her thoughtful, emotionally resonant color work.
