The finale issue of DC's Young Animal miniseries goes out with a burst — quite literally. Ilias Kyriazis's cover captures a lone silhouetted figure at the center of a blinding, radiant explosion, everyday objects and debris swirling outward in every direction around a void of absolute darkness at the character's chest. It's a striking image that perfectly encapsulates the series' emotional core, and with Mikey Way, Shaun Simon, and colorist Cris Peter rounding out the creative team, Collapser #6 delivers a visually charged send-off to one of 2020's most distinctive superhero stories.
